INTRODUCTION/ Mission statement


Redwood Properties purchased the site at 17645 Yonge St. in 2016.  The site, formerly known as, "Slessor Square," was previously owned by the Dwight Slessor Holding Limited. It is currently zoned for multi-use residential / commercial development, with a density of 3.5 F.S.I.

Redwood recognizes the significance of the site for the Town of Newmarket and the community that live nearby, identified in the Region of York's and the Town of Newmarket's official plans for urban intensification. The site provides a unique opportunity to become a "hub" for the area; connecting both the residential community (east of site) and the commercial centre (Upper Canada Mall / west of site).

Our team of professionals took the opportunity to revisit what was accomplished with the approved "Slessor Square" proposal. Through analysis and innovative design, our team at Redwood Properties has developed a proposal to enhance the available opportunities and mitigate the constraints brought forth from our studies.

This website is an opportunity for us to showcase some of this work, we are proud and excited to be a part of the fabric of what Newmarket is today, and envisioning its future tomorrow.
